Host a “Meet the Candidate” Night

Support Rory Swensen for Mayor—Right From Your Living Room

Do you believe in thoughtful leadership and a strong future for Coalville? One of the most powerful ways you can help is by bringing your friends and neighbors together to meet Rory Swensen in person.

What Is a “Meet the Candidate” Night?

These are small, informal gatherings—usually hosted in a home, backyard, or even a local park—where neighbors come together to hear directly from Rory. He’ll speak briefly about his vision for Coalville, then open the floor for questions and conversation.

These events are casual, conversational, and designed to build connection and trust. They usually last about an hour and are a great way for undecided voters to learn more in a comfortable setting.

Hosting Is Easy

You don’t need to be an expert in politics or plan anything fancy. Here’s what hosting involves:

Pick a date – Choose a night that works for you using our simple calendar form.
Invite your circle – Friends, neighbors, coworkers, or family—just 8 to 20 people is perfect.
Provide a space – A living room, driveway, or community space all work great.
Optional snacks – Some hosts like to offer light refreshments, but it’s not required.
Rory takes care of the rest – He’ll come ready to share his plans, listen to your concerns, and answer questions.

We’ll follow up to confirm the details, help you with invitations if needed, and make sure everything goes smoothly.

Why It Matters

These small conversations are where real change begins. Face-to-face time with voters is the most effective way to build trust, share ideas, and inspire participation in local government. Your support as a host helps us grow this movement—one conversation at a time.
